If you can’t take or upload photos in Hortis, it’s likely that your browser or device hasn’t been granted access to the camera. Follow the steps below to enable camera permissions.
Apple iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Open Settings on your device.
- Go to Safari → Camera.
- Select Allow to grant access.
Android
- Open your device Settings → Apps.
- Find and select your browser app (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).
- Tap Permissions → Camera, and make sure it’s set to Allow.
Alternative method (per website)
- Open your Hortis website in your browser.
- Tap the browser menu (⋮) → Site settings → Camera.
- Set the permission to Allow.
Known Issue — Chrome (November 2025)
A recent update to Google Chrome (version 142.0.0.0) has introduced an issue preventing users from taking photos directly in Hortis.
Temporary workaround: Use Firefox or Brave on your Android device — both browsers currently work without any problems. You can find more information about this Chrome issue here.
