How to clean up misspelled tags

Example: You have a tag named ”cullinary” that should have been named “culinary”. If you only have one variant of the tags, you can rename the tag in the settings screen.

  • Navigate to settings in the bottom left corner, expand the site, and select tags. Here, you can rename and delete tags.

If you have a mix of tags that are misspelled and correctly spelt, please follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the material, accession, or taxon list where the duplicate tags are used.

  • Use a tag filter to find all the entries that use the misspelled tag. Example: “cullinary”

  • Select all the entries by selecting the checkbox in the top right corner.

  • You can use batch actions via the Actions button at the bottom or the context menu. Select add/remove tags.

  • Update all the entries with the correctly spelled tag. Example: “culinary”

  • You can then delete the misspelled tag via the settings screen.
