Using rich text notes

Rich text lets you format your notes and descriptions so they are easier to read and more useful. You can use it in places such as record notes and public descriptions.

What you can do

Format text

  • Headers, bold, italics and underline to emphasize specific parts of your text
  • Bullet lists, ordered lists and checkbox lists

Add links

  • Link to websites or to internal documents on a shared folder

Reference records

  • Type @ followed by, for example, an accession number to link to an existing record in Hortis
  • You can reference taxa, accessions, material and sources
