Adding a New Site

What is a Site?

With the Hortis Plus plan, you can add multiple sites to manage gardens that are physically located in different places and may be managed by different teams.

Each site is largely independent and has its own:

  • Accession numbers

  • Maps

  • Locations

  • Settings and members

Adding a new site is ideal when the garden is in a separate geographic location or requires separate management.

If the garden areas are in the same location, share most of the same plant material, and are managed by the same team, creating a new site may not be the best option. In these cases, you can usually manage different parts of the garden using other tools such as locationsdata tags, or similar organizational features.

How to Add a New Site

  1. Navigate to the Sites screen.

  2. Click New Site at the bottom of the screen.

Once the site is created, review the site settings and invite members as needed.
