When to use the different plant material statuses in Hortis

Hortis has four predefined statuses so collection data stays easy to interpret.

• Present: In the collection. (Alive, in the herbarium, etc. ). 
• Absent:  Removed from the collection. (Removed, Shared, Died, etc.). 
• Transient:  Not part of the collection yet (Quarantine, Growing in nursery, etc).
• Unknown:  Not accounted for, but may still turn up.
