Ask Hortis can create new records and update existing ones — taxa, accessions, material and log notes, as well as locations and sources.
For bulk entry we've prepared a spreadsheet template covering taxa, accessions, material and log notes. It works well for tens of records, up to a hundred or so. For larger datasets, or if your data needs cleaning or is hard to align with the Hortis schema, get in touch and we'll help. More detailed instructions are found in the template.
Loading takes time, so split large batches into smaller runs. Ask Hortis works through the rows and will ask you about anything it can't resolve.
